Jim Charles Shoes presents the Full Brogue, a sharp, characterful shoe that blends classic broguing with a sleek, contemporary profile.
Crafted on the Monti last, this model offers classic elegance with a slightly square toe, creating a clean, elongated silhouette that works seamlessly with tailoring and business attire. The full brogue pattern, with its wingtip design, perforations, and pinked edges, is executed with precision, adding depth and interest without disturbing the shoe’s refined proportions.
The upper is made from dark brown box calf, a premium fine‑grain leather chosen for its smooth surface, durability, and excellent shape retention. Dark brown box calf takes a high polish, developing a rich depth of colour over time while maintaining a crisp, structured appearance. Each panel is carefully cut, matched, and stitched, with sharp detailing and neatly finished edges that reflect meticulous craftsmanship.
Underfoot, the Full Brogue is fitted with a forest green Goodyear Welt mixed leather-rubber sole. Goodyear Welt construction is renowned for strength, longevity, and reparability, ensuring the shoe can be resoled and enjoyed for many years. The mixed sole combines the elegance and support of leather with strategically placed rubber sections to enhance grip, flexibility, and everyday resilience. The forest green welt detail introduces a discreet touch of individuality while preserving a sophisticated, classic look.
Inside, the shoe is neatly lined and finely finished, with smooth interiors and thoughtfully positioned seams designed to maximise comfort, breathability, and long-term wear. From the structured box calf upper to the robust welted sole, every element demonstrates careful material selection and traditional shoemaking expertise.
This Full Brogue is available through our design your own option, which offers a balanced middle ground between our stock collection and the fully customizable Artisan range. You can partially customize key elements—such as colours, finishes, and selected details—creating a more individual version of the shoe, while still benefiting from a quicker delivery time than a fully bespoke configuration.
